Frequently Asked Questions
What is shower jelly?
Shower jelly is a form of soap. We like to think of them as a combination of bar soap and shower gel. They have a luscious and sudsy lather.
Will my jelly break apart quickly?
No, our shower jellies hold their form extremely well in water. If you use your jelly as a whole, it should keep its form for up to 7 washes until it starts to disintegrate.
What is the best way to use my jelly?
We recommend cutting your jelly soap into small pieces and using it with a washcloth to get up to 24 uses and reduce waste.
How should I store my jelly when not in use?
Place your jelly in its container when not in use. You can also store it in the fridge to preserve it for longer and a cooling sensation.
How long should I keep my jelly?
We recommended replacing your jelly every 30 days.
Are your jellies hypoallergenic?
Although we do not label our jellies as hypoallergenic, we only use ingredients that are skin-safe and are not known irritants. Our fragrances are phthalate-free. If you try our jellies and irritation occurs, please discontinue use.
Do you use gelatin derived from animals?
No. Instead of gelatin made from animal collagen, we use chrondus crispus powder, which is obtained from dried, ground algae.
Are your jellies cruelty-free and vegan?
Yes. We do not use animal by-products or test on animals.
Why do you use plastic containers?
At present, plastic containers are the best way to package our jellies due to the high temperature at which they are poured. We use PP plastic, which is recyclable at some facilities. Please check the recycling program in your area.
Sustainability is top of my mind and we aim to find a more eco-friendly alternative to conventional plastic as soon as a better option is possible.
Where are your products made?
Our shower jellies are made in Canada with materials and ingredients sourced from Canada, the US and UK.
Are shower jellies an intimate wash or a lubricant?
No, shower jellies are not an intimate wash or lubricant. They are a skin-safe soap for external use only and should not be used as an intimate wash or lubricant.
